I watched through my bedroom door as another stud fucked my woman. The woman I had lived to love for the last three years. Yes, I’d done my dirt, because I’m not a perfect nigga, but what the fuck had I done to deserve this? Rose had always been everything in my eyes, but right now as this other stud smashed her from behind, she was just some bitch to me. People think that just knowing you were cheated on hurts, but to me that’s just your mind playing tricks on you. Actually, seeing the shit with your own two eyes is where the real pain lies, because the picture is drawn for you. I could see she didn’t give a fuck about me each time her mouth opened to let out a sound of wanting more from someone else inside of her. I could see that she had no respect for me as she rocked her in the same bed that she and I slept in every night and woke up in every morning.
How long had this shit been going on? It was taking everything in me not to get the burner out of my car and put a bullet in both of their pussies. I felt tears forming in my eyes as I watched and listened to this other bitch pleasing what belonged to me. Rose never even let me hit her with a strap, but here she was on her hands and knees, taking that shit like a fucking soldier. I thought back to everything in my mind that should have brought on suspicion, but the love I had for her kept fanning it away. My hands started to shake so I excused myself hoping that maybe I could I calm myself. I made a deal with myself that I would take a ride. If the car I didn’t recognize was out of my driveway I’d let it go, but if it wasn’t, I wouldn’t be responsible for what happened next.
I walked out the door and got back into my ride, so that I could think clearly. I called Akeisha. The bitch had to know something if not everything and I wanted to know, too.
“Hello.” Akeisha answered on the first ring and I was sure it was due to the fact that she had to know something.
“Akeisha?” I said.
“Snapps?” She replied.
“Yeah!” I said because she was just stalling at this point.
“Did you find my license?” She asked.
“No, but I have a question for you.” I stated.
“And what is that?” She said.
I smacked my lips. “Can I swing by?”
“What? You can’t ask over the phone?” She said, clearly taunting me.
“Look, bitch, I’m over the whole I-don’t-know-nothing acting-like-I’m-dumb game, all right? I’m on my way over. Don’t question me.” I ended the call fuming with anger.
I pulled up in Akeisha’s driveway and she stood outside waiting on me. I knew she was going to want something so I prepared myself. It was nothing to pump her head up and make her think she’s about to get something that she wasn’t.
“You didn’t have to be so damn rude on the phone.” She licked her lips at me and I damn near gagged.
“I’ma just get straight to the point. Is Rose fucking over me?”
“Why you asking me that?”
“Because you’re her best friend and I know you know!”
“I am that and even if she was, why would I tell you?”
I moved close to Akeisha, “Because I got something you want.”
“Is that right,” she grinned. “Finally coming around just like I said you would.” Akeisha rubbed my arm. But I pushed her away.
“Info first…”
“No kiss me first.”
Somebody just kill me now I thought to myself as she puckered her lips and leaned toward me. I pecked her lips just enough not to feel sick and for her to believe she just might get a chance after all the bullshit transpired.
She leaned back “Mmm you’ve been drinking strawberry soda.”
I held in my laughter as she licked her lips. She was disgusting. “Okay, now tell me.”
“Alright,” she switched into the living room and I followed. “She pulled a blunt from her table, placed it between her lips and lit it. “Aren’t you going to sit down?”
“No, I just need a quick synopsis.”
“Okay, okay, her name is Blaze.”
“The stud?”
“Yeah.”
“Where’d she meet her?”
“Online or something.”
I remained calm. “How long she been talking to her?”
“I don’t know four maybe five months I think.”
“Man you fucking lying.”
“Am I?” She hit her blunt and blew smoke. “She’s in your bed right now right?”
“How the fuck do you know that?”
“You think this is the first time she done been all up and through your shit?”
I balled my fist at my sides. “What else?”
“The car Rose is driving is for Blaze and if you don’t believe me just check the glove compartment. Blaze’s real name is Leticia Monroe.”
I looked away, squinting my eyes, thinking about the “loaner” lie she told me.
“You’re too cute to be so naïve. I thought you would have at least known they worked together.”
I swung my head back around. “What?!”
Akeisha laughed and shook her head. “You work too hard.”
I punched Akeisha’s wall and ran out of her house to my car as she yelled out my name. I sped to my mother’s house and let myself in. She heard the front door slam and ran down the steps. “Sasha?” I ignored her call and went straight to the shed behind our house to retrieve the gas can that I knew she kept half full. I walked back into the house and past my mother to the junk drawer to pull out a box of matches. “Sasha what’s wrong with you?”
“I need a good lawyer.” I said as I walked out of the front door, slamming it behind me and hopped back into my vehicle. My skin was hot and I was shaking. I was on a mission. How dare that bitch play me like that after everything that I had done for her? I had a taste for vengeance and the flavor was Rose. I wasn’t sure if my hatred was geared more toward the fact that she lied or the fact that she downright disrespected me in my parent’s house. My cell phone rung constantly and I kept sending it to voicemail. I already knew that it was my mom. I’d explain myself to her later.
I pulled up in front of my door and a single tear fell from my right eye.
